Updated on October 1, 2026 ✓ Information checked on September 24, 2026 adapted from the Portuguese original
A good Gramado itinerary groups sights by area: downtown one day, attractions along the highways another, Canela on a third. You spend less time in traffic and more time enjoying.
How many days?
- 2 days: downtown on foot, the lakes and food.
- 3 days: add a day of parks outside the centre.
- 4 days: add a day trip to neighbouring Canela — the most balanced format for a first visit. See the 4-day itinerary.
- 5 to 7 days: room for a free day (rain, rest or events) and for exploring the region.
In the 2025 official survey, 39% of visitors stayed 4 to 5 days.
