Gramado 2-day itinerary: downtown, lakes and food
Two days call for focus: stay downtown, do almost everything on foot and leave the far-flung attractions for your next trip.
Updated on October 2, 2026 adapted from the Portuguese original
With only 2 days, the strategy is not to waste time travelling around. Stay downtown or close to it and focus on attractions you can walk to or reach in a few minutes.
Day 1 — Downtown and Lago Negro
| Time | Plan |
|---|---|
| Morning | Rua Coberta, Avenida Borges de Medeiros and Igreja Matriz São Pedro |
| Lunch | Downtown |
| Afternoon | Lago Negro, with a walk around it (about 2 km from downtown) |
| Evening | Fondue dinner |
Day 2 — Miniatures, lakes and a viewpoint
| Time | Plan |
|---|---|
| Morning | Mini Mundo and then Lago Joaquina Rita Bier (in the same area) |
| Lunch or afternoon | Café colonial — it is generous, so it works as your main meal |
| Late afternoon | Belvedere Vale do Quilombo and chocolate shops |
| Evening | Downtown, at a relaxed pace |
What was left out
Snowland, Gramado Zoo, Le Jardin and Canela need more travel time. If you want to include them, see the 3-day itinerary.
Tickets and opening hours of the paid attractions
The prices below were checked on the official sales channels and are shown with the date of verification. Two practical points: not every park opens every day — check the opening days in each table before fixing the order of your outings — and on public holidays and school holidays, buy ahead, because some attractions sell out or switch to high-season rates.
Where to stay for this itinerary
For a 2-day itinerary done almost entirely on foot, the best base is downtown, near Rua Coberta and Avenida Borges de Medeiros. Both days start at your door, Lago Negro is within walking distance and dinner needs no car. Staying far out to pay less usually costs more in taxis and time. Compare the areas in where to stay in Gramado.
Common mistakes
- Trying to fit Snowland, the Zoo and Canela into two days: travel time eats the trip. Leave them for next time or extend to 3 or 4 days.
- Dinner without a booking on a Saturday or public holiday: fondue places and downtown restaurants fill up at night.
- Underestimating the evening cold: even in summer, take a jacket for Lago Negro in the late afternoon and for dinner.
Adapt it
- Rain: swap outdoor outings for the indoor ones in Gramado on a rainy day.
- No car: group the far-flung attractions on the same day and use a taxi or ride-hailing app — see Gramado without a car.
- With kids: do fewer activities per day and build in breaks — see Gramado with kids.
- Budget: estimate the cost of this version with the calculator.
Opening hours, tickets and operation of each attraction change: always check the official channel before you go. See every stop on the map.
