Travelling as a couple is one of the most common profiles in Gramado: 29% of respondents in the 2025 official survey travelled with a spouse or partner. A romantic trip calls for a different pace from a family holiday.
Set the right pace
- Fewer attractions per day and more time for cafés, walks and dinners.
- Keep the evenings for food experiences, such as fondue.
- Save late afternoons for places with a view, such as the Belvedere Vale do Quilombo.
Where to stay
Couples travelling by car can consider quieter places further out. Without a car, downtown and nearby neighbourhoods remain the most practical choice. Compare areas in where to stay.
Moments that work for two
- A walk around Lago Negro early in the morning.
- Late afternoon at the viewpoint on a clear day.
- A long café colonial on a rainy day.
- The Natal Luz season, if you enjoy the Christmas atmosphere.
Budget
A romantic trip need not be expensive: alternate special experiences with free outings. Estimate the cost with the calculator.
