Gramado 4-day itinerary

4 to 5 days is the length of stay most visitors reported in the 2025 official survey. This plan shows why.

Updated on October 2, 2026 ✓ Information checked on September 24, 2026 adapted from the Portuguese original

Four days is the most balanced format for a first visit: enough to see Gramado calmly and still spend a day in Canela. No wonder 39% of visitors in the 2025 official survey stayed 4 to 5 days.

Day 1 — Downtown on foot

Rua Coberta, Avenida Borges de Medeiros, Igreja Matriz São Pedro and Palácio dos Festivais. Lago Negro in the afternoon. Fondue for dinner.

Day 2 — Attractions outside downtown

Morning at Snowland or Gramado Zoo; afternoon at Dreamland or Le Jardin. Group them on the same day — they all need a car, taxi or ride-hailing app.

Day 3 — Canela

A day trip to the neighbouring town. See how to organise it in Canela day trip from Gramado.

Day 4 — Miniatures, lakes and farewell

Mini Mundo and Lago Joaquina Rita Bier in the morning; a café colonial (a lavish afternoon spread of breads, cakes and cold cuts) in the afternoon; the Belvedere viewpoint and chocolate shopping before you leave.

Why this order

Canela sits in the middle so that a rainy day can be swapped with day 2 or day 4 without breaking the plan.

Tickets and opening hours of the paid attractions

The prices below were checked on the official sales channels and are shown with the date of verification. Two practical points: not every park opens every day — check the opening days in each table before fixing the order of your outings — and on public holidays and school holidays, buy ahead, because some attractions sell out or switch to high-season rates.

Prices for Canela’s attractions (Caracol Park, cable cars, Skyglass and theme parks) are in things to do in Canela.

Where to stay for this itinerary

Without a car, stay downtown and handle the Canela day by taxi, ride-hailing app or organised tour. With a car, neighbourhoods near downtown or the Avenida das Hortênsias area work well: it is quieter and easy to head out to Canela and the day-2 attractions. Either way, four nights in the same place avoid losing half a day to check-out and check-in. See where to stay in Gramado and Gramado or Canela.

Common mistakes

  • Going to Canela without planning the return: without a car, arrange the way back in advance; in the late afternoon, taxis and apps take longer.
  • Keeping Canela on a day of heavy rain: the waterfall and viewpoints lose their appeal. Swap it with day 2 or day 4, as explained above.
  • Buying combos without checking what you will use: passes and combos only pay off if you have time to enjoy every attraction included.

Adapt it

Opening hours, tickets and operation of each attraction change: always check the official channel before you go. See every stop on the map.
